Award winning actress/singer/songwriter, Melora Hardin (“Chicago,” “Les Misérables,” “The Office”), delivers a versatile 17-track album featuring songs from Broadway as well as Standards, Pop and some originals.
Writing and performing songs since the age of 8, she has sung in many productions including the Disney feature “The Rocketeer” where she was
honored to work with the legendary arranger Billy May. She also played the chanteuse ghost in the Disney TV movie “Tower of Terror” and a crazy cabaret singer in the short-lived series “Man & Machine” where she was produced by Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo fame. Hardin has produced and self-released two albums called “The Meloradrama” and “Purr” both of which have a large cult following. In 2009, Hardin starred in two high-profile feature films, “17 Again” and “Hannah Montana: The Movie” both debuting at #1 at the box office back-to-back weekends.
Melora’s first singing act in 2008, with the fabulous director Richard Jay- Alexander and musical director, Ben Toth, “At The Watercooler,” played for 3 nights to rave reviews in Los Angeles at The Catalina Jazz Club on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood.
On stage, she played the lead role of ‘Fantine’ in the August 2008 Hollywood Bowl concert rendition of “Les Misérables,” also directed by Jay-Alexander. Soon thereafter, along came Broadway, and a stunning debut as ‘Roxie Hart’ in the smash long-running hit, “CHICAGO.”
Having collaborated with her producers/directors, Richard Jay-Alexander and Ben Toth helped ensure that each individual track has a unique sound that blends wonderfully into the album as a whole. Toth created all the arrangements on ALL THE WAY TO MARS.
