Singer-songwriter Joe Settineri has one goal – that his music captures & conveys the simple honesty within love and life. This, and being known for possessing gravelly and expressive vocal stylings that can switch on a dime and soar effortlessly to the heights of full-voiced, raw emotion, defines this sincere and purposeful artist.
Born in the mid-west, Joe graduated from the University of Michigan and immediately headed west. After a brief career in the finance world, Joe moved to Los Angeles to devote himself, full-time, to music where he rapidly became a highly sought after vocal artist and has since been featured in numerous voice over projects and programs on MTV, VH1 as well as a starring role in the 2005 film The Highway Man. Joe has also been seen on stage from Los Angeles to New York to London in numerous staring roles in such shows as The Who’s Tommy, The Full Monty, Town Without Pity, One Way Ticket To Hell, The Last Session, and the Monterey Opera’s Candide.
When asked recently about the simplicity of his everyman lyrical content, Settineri responded by saying, simplicity in no way equates to unimportant. It’s usually the opposite. My music aims to touch on those basic raw emotions within us everyday – love, pain, hope, etc. They are our most basic & vital, yet we so often ignored them … my hat goes off to those who continually observe and embrace these feelings. Those who find the good, examine the bad, drown in love – cry, laugh, smile – it’s no small feat – never, ever stop.
Joe Settineri currently splits his time between Los Angeles and New York where he regularly performs. Stay is his debut album.
