About Shannon Forsell

Shannon Forsell is Managing and Artistic Director for the acclaimed Cabaret at the Columbia Club. The Cabaret presents world-class national and local performers in an intimate, sophisticated setting. Cabaret and Broadway stars such as Jane Monheit, “Wicked’s“ David Burnham, and Michael Feinstein have all performed on The Cabaret stage.  Forsell has performed her own solo cabaret show in New York City and was honored to sing for over 30,000 people at the internationally televised National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Washington D.C.’s MCI Arena, the official event to honor the fallen firefighters and one-year anniversary of September 11.  A native of Indiana, Forsell is a former Miss Indianapolis. Some of her theater roles include Eva Peron in Evita and Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Forsell appears regularly at various jazz clubs and jazz festivals with the Cool City Swing Band, a ten piece swing band. In addition to live performance, Forsell has recorded a dozen nationally released compact discs, featuring jazz standards, Broadway, torch songs, and popular music for Hal Leonard Publishing Company. Shannon has two solo recordings: “Simply Standards," and her new release “The Nearness of You: The Music of Hoagy Carmichael.”
