About Robert Creighton
ROBERT CREIGHTON is one of the busiest character actors working on Broadway today. Reviewers from the New York Times, The Daily News, and Variety, have written: "Robert Creighton brought the house down…exceeds all expectations…enormous spirit...leaves the audience breathless...stops the show in its tracks...." Recent roles on Broadway include the Purser and Moonface Martin in ANYTHING GOES, Amos in CHICAGO, Timon in THE LION KING, Chef Louis in THE LITTLE MERMAID and more. His debut album of classic American standards, “Ain’t We Got Fun!” is culled primarily from the first three decades of the twentieth century. Creighton grew up listening to this sort of music and fell even more deeply in love while researching and co-writing his award winning new musical about the life of screen legend, and song and dance man, James Cagney. “Ain’t We Got Fun!” was born of his passion for the music of that era, as were the two original tunes featured here from CAGNEY!, the musical. Creighton, along with Producer/Arranger Georgia Stitt have created an album with such authenticity and enthusiasm, listeners of all ages will be tapping their toes and crooning along with some of the most beautiful American melodies ever.
