I’ve been a huge fan of Amanda’s song catalogue for many years and was very excited that she agreed to join me on a duet. However, I was truly over the moon when she suggested that we sing her mega-hit “The Rose” together. It’s probably one of the simplest, purest and most powerful songs ever written. It had never been recorded as a duet and I am honored that she shared that moment with me.

David has the voice of an angel and it’s been one of my greatest joys to share the concert stage with him over the past 20+ years. If you’re anywhere near Vegas you can now catch David as the star of the new “Steve Wynn’s SHOWSTOPPERS” at the Encore Theatre in the Wynn Hotel.

Today, we’re doing something a little different and paying homage to one of the most beautiful people we’ve ever worked with: Nancy LaMott. Starting in the Midwest, Nancy got herself out of a less than perfect childhood and moved out to San Francisco to pursue music. Always plagued by illness and a lack of funds, Nancy was a fighter and became known in a small circle as one of the best cabaret singers in the world.
Praise for the singer was unparalleled:
“The best cabaret singer I ever heard … heartfelt, irresistibly appealing” – Terry Teachout, Wall Street Journal

I had been a huge fan (borderline stalker) of Susan Werner for many years after discovering her at a random in-store appearance at the Virgin Megastore in LA. I recorded her song “Much at All” in 1998 on my album “I Know You By Heart.” As I was prepping production on “In Good Company” I received a lovely email from Susan (7 years after the fact) that she had just heard my recording and loved it YAY! I immediately went out on a limb and asked if she’d be willing/interested in being part of this duets project and she agreed. It was a full circle moment for me and I’m proud to call her a friend. She is one of my all-time favorite singer/songwriters and just about the loveliest gal you could hope to meet.
